RoHS/WEEE Compliance

The EU Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restrictions of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS Directive) will go into effect on July 1st, 2006. The RoHS Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new EEE containing more than 1000/100 ppm of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), and hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), along with polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) flame retardants. Several US states have also issued laws, based on the EU directive, that ban these substances and set the same timeframe for compliance.

As the date for compliance approaches, many of the manufacturers that we represent are issuing product compliance statements and/or information about new RoHS-compliant products that replace those that were non-compliant. This page serves as a central repository for RoHS information about the products that we supply.
